Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone)
The most important tourist area in Cancun is Cancún Island, also known as the Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera).
It is a narrow strip of land that juts into the Caribbean Sea, forming the shape of the number “7” and stretching for about 23 km.
This is where most of Cancun’s beaches, hotels, and tourist infrastructure are located.
The Hotel Zone surrounds the Nichupté Lagoon on the inner side of the “7.”
As mentioned earlier, most of the large resorts are located in the Hotel Zone, featuring spectacular pools, private beaches, and modern, luxurious facilities.
Boulevard Kukulkán is the main avenue that runs through this area.

Most of these hotels are concentrated in the Hotel Zone and operate under the well-known “all-inclusive” concept, which offers guests everything they need during their stay, including meals, entertainment, leisure facilities, private beaches, and even on-site nightclubs.
All the amenities are available so that travelers do not need to leave the hotel.
Staying at one of these all-inclusive resorts in Cancun usually requires a significant budget, as they are not cheap.
However, Cancun is a large city and also offers many more affordable hotel options.
You can stay at a hotel in downtown Cancun, which is much cheaper than those in the Hotel Zone, although it is a bit farther from the beaches.
