Cancun is a world-renowned tourist destination, famous for its beautiful paradisiacal beaches of fine sand bathed by a warm turquoise blue sea.
It is currently one of the main tourist destinations in the Caribbean.
Cancun is located in the Caribbean, on the northeast coast of the state of Quintana Roo, in southeastern Mexico.

Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone)
The most important tourist area of Cancun is the area of Cancun Island or also called Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone), which is a tongue of land that juts into the Caribbean Sea forming a figure of "7", with an extension of 23 km.
This is where most of Cancun's beaches, hotels and tourist infrastructure are located.
The Hotel Zone surrounds the Nichupté Lagoon on the inside of the "7".
As we said, in the Hotel Zone are most of the big resorts with their spectacular pools, private beaches, modern and luxurious facilities.
Boulevard Kukulkán is the main avenue that crosses this area.
